some where, some time ago, in sgn i saw an ad that was selling a muzzle adapter that slid over the muzzle and locked in and around the front sight for a 22..

anyone know who that was selling them...
sure would like at least one, so i dont have to get the muzzle threaded on every 22 i own, so i can use my forth coming can...

The addy is www.muzzlecouplings.com also known as DAQ in sgn.
I use many of his products which are well made and resonable in price. :)

There is a finnish company that makes some couplings for the ruger mark II/III series pistols. Its a nice looking little snap on thing that indexs on the the front site. Kind of like what muzzlecouplings.com has, but its quick attach.

i think i said it wrong...

i was looking for one for my marlin model 60..they don't have one...
but i think that one would be a pita anyways, as i'd have to take it off so i could reload the tube...

now i do need someone who has a 1/2x28 to 1/2x20 adapter, that i can just go online, click, pay, and get delivered...
(i work to much for sase's and mo's, and i'm lazy)
online shopping is way more fun.....

With the tube mag, you might be better served by getting the barrel threaded, and getting either the Gem-Tech Sea Hunter, or the new 6-lug QD .22 can.

Ya the whole muzzlecouplings.com guy is a bit weird. I'm sure he is nice enough, but no email? no phone #? Only corispondence through mail?

check tros for that adapter.

It sounds like what your looking for is an interrupted thread such as the old Maxim design where the can slips off and on with just a half turn.
The Browning take down .22 rifle uses this to quickly install or remove the barrel.
I think Al Paulson's first book has a pic of it.

I just order a couple of things from the DAQ website including a 1/2x20 to 1/2x28 adapter and a 1/2x28 to 1/2x20 adapter.

Very well made and priced right!

Don't worry about the quirks. Just follow his instructions and it'll show up.

Besides, you'll be sending a postal money order. One would not want to defraud somone using them.
