The drill and tap I have for my Ruger Mark II iron sight is 33 drill and 6-40 tap. I want to drill and tap for a Weaver mount. In looking closely the screws are a little finer thread than the sight screws I have for the fixed iron sights.
The Weaver mount I have is from Weingart Combat Part No. RM2FD. It states on the package that it will fit Ruger "factory drilled and tapped holes". I've looked around and I cannot find what the drill and tap would be for that. In visually comparing my 6-40 tap to the screws that came with the mount it is not a 6-40 tap match.
This is probably a dumb question that everyone knows the answer to already.
What is the drill and tap for Ruger Factory?

I would just remove the rear sight and use Jack's no gunsmithing mount, they work perfect for guns that are not drilled and tapped.
